We had 9 volunteers this morning on what turned out to be a warm and sunny day.

The large overhanging laurel hedge at the bottom end of the bridle path that leads to Brookside Ave was cut back.

Some of the group concentrated on the Markham Rd reserve and here the rapidly growing bracken etc alongside the laid hedge was cut back so we can see the gaps where to transplant primroses next month. 2023-05a There were also overhanging branches in two other area at the far end of this reserve and these were also cleared.

On both reserves all the main pathways were checked and cleared. 2023-05b The usual litter collection was completed on the two reserves.
