The private land recently sold at auction lies to the east of the Sandy Lane bridleway and runs as far as the public footpath between Kingsdown Mount and Heather Rise. It covers an area of 11.5 acres.

Whilst this land is adjacent to the two local nature reserves, known as Alexandrina Plantation LNR and Sandy Lane Open Space LNR, the sale does not affect these two reserves directly.

The map below depicts the extent of the reserves and recently sold land

The land sold lies mostly within the adminsitrative boundary of Nottingham City Council, whilst the landowner of the two reserves is, and remains, Broxtowe Borough Council.

We hope this clarifies the current situation.
